Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan is popularly known as the “Pink City”. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II is known to have founded the city of Jaipur on 18th November 1727. Jaipur is the first planned city of India. It was planned by a Bengali architect named Vidhyadhar Bhattacharya by following the principles of Shilpa Shastra (the science of Indian architecture). Amber Fort, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Amber Fort built year 1592 AD by Raja Man Singh. There are intricate paintings of ancient hunting styles and portraits of significant Rajput rulers. Amer Fort is divided into four sections, each adorned with its separate entrance and courtyard. The main entrance to the fort is called 'Suraj Pol' or Sun Gate which leads to the main courtyard.

Maota Lake collects rain water flowing down from the nearby hills. The lake was the main source of water for the amer palace and for common people. Kesar Kyari or Saffron Garden situated  in its middle. That looks very beautiful.

Diwan-e-Aam hall for (Public Audience Hall), Diwan-i-Khas hall for (Private Audience Hall), forms the second level of the Amer Fort. It is a massive hall open on three sides. 'Sukh Mahal' is another hall opposite to the Sheesh Mahal and is built of sandalwood and ivory. It has numerous channels with running cold water. Another highlighting feature of the Amer Fort is the 'Magic Flower', Inlay carved out of marble and a delicate carving of Lord Ganesha out of a single piece of coral. South of this courtyard lies the oldest part of the complex and the main palace used by Man Singh I.

Hawa Mahal, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Hawa Mahal “Palace of Winds”, is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, and designed by Lal Chand Ustad in the form of the crown of Krishna. Hawa Mahal five-story pyramidal shaped monument built of red and pink sandstone.

Jantar-Mantar, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Jantar-Mantar observatory is built by Sawai Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734. The name is derived from Jantar means “instrument” and Mantar means “Calculation”. It features the world's largest stone sundial, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today the observatory is a popular tourist attraction. However, astronomers still use it to predict the weather for farmer.

City Palace, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Jaigarh Fort was built by Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1726. Jaigarh Fort is situated on the promontory called the Cheel ka Teela of the Aravalli range. The fort houses the world's greatest cannon on wheels known as the 'Jaivana Cannon' and a huge palace complex. 

Nahargarh Fort or Tiger Fort, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Nahargarh or “Tiger Fort” Fort is one such majestic and magnificent fort, situated in the Aravalli mountain ranges in Jaipur. Nahargarh was earlier known as Sudarshangarh and was built in 1734 by Sawai Jai Singh II, primarily as a strong defence for Jaipur city. The most spectacular part of the Fort is the Madhavendra Bhawan which had 12 identical suites for each of the 12 queens of Sawai Jai Sing II. There are stunning frescoes in the interior of the building and there are connecting hallways to the different rooms. It is said that the rooms for the queens were built in such a way that when the king visited one of the queens, others could not find about it.

Galta ji Temple, Monkey Valley, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Galta ji highly sacred pilgrimage with great historical significance. The temple complex is basically a cluster of several temples, Galta Ji being the main temple. The temples are built within a narrow crevice of a mountain pass in the Aravalli hills. The temple complex has several sacred tanks that are locally called Kunds and are used by pilgrims for bathing and thereby washing away their sins. The kunds are filled by the means of a natural spring that emerges high on the hills and makes its way downward, filling all seven sacred kunds. The Galta Kund is considered to be the holiest of all kunds here, and also holds great significance as it is believed to have never dried up till date.

Jhalana Leopard Safari, Jaipur, Rajasthan

At Nahargarh Biological Park, ornithologists can expect to see over 285 species of birds, of which, the most popular is the white-naped tit, which can only be found here. When you visit the Park, make sure you also head to Ram Sagar, which is a famous among bird watchers and makes for a great spot to catch different varieties of birds. The Nahargarh Zoological Park is also worth a visit and houses animals such as Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, panthers, hyenas, wolves, deer, crocodiles, sloth bear, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, etc.
