1. Samosa
Flaky and crunchy
fried samosa are one of the most popular street food snack in North Indian
cuisine. They feature a pastry-like crust but are filled with spices mix
potatoes and peas for a hearty, delicious snack.
2. Jalebi
Jalebi is declared
as the National sweet of India. In many cities or countries, it is the most
popular sweet of India. It is given mainly for dessert. Jalebi can be served
both cold and hot. The ingredients required are Maida flour, saffron, ghee, and
sugar. It is mostly eaten with rabri and curd.
3. Rasgulla
The name rasgulla
has come from the word ras which means juice and Gulla which means balls. It is
made up of chhena( cheese) which is formed into small balls. These balls are
immersed into the sugar syrup and then they can be cooked in either a pressure
cooker or oven.
4. Dal Bati Churma
Traditional
rajasthani delicacy recipe made from dal, bati or wheat rolls and churma which
is powdered wheat ball. It is generally served for lunch or dinner by mixing
the dal with crushed baati and ghee topped on it.
5. Kadi
Kadi Pakora is very
popular in Northern part of India. Crispy Chickpea (Gram Flour) Fritters in
tangy yogurt sauce is perfect served with plain rice or Roti.
6. Vegetable Rice
Vegetable Rice is a
spicy rice dish prepared by cooking rice with various vegetables and spices. In
this recipe, assortment of spices, veggies and rice are first sautéed in oil
and ghee and then cooked in pressure cooker as you would cook plain rice.
However, the uniqueness of this easy mixed vegetable pulao recipe lies in use
